Questions

How is the price calculated?

Starter follows a published formula: € = max(4, round(3 + 1.45 × (monthly pageviews / 10,000) ^ 0.60)). Growth is that amount plus €4. Events are not counted. Seats are included in the plan.

What if I go over?

Starter and Growth never drop rows. Hits keep landing. The dashboard waits until you upgrade the volume tier — Stripe prorates the rest of the period. Hobby is uncapped on pageviews — the cap is 3 sites, 90 days, owner plus one viewer, and a badge.

Do goals and cfa() events count?

No. Goals and named events are not counted toward the volume. A signup event is a goal, not a tax.

Do you have funnels?

On Growth. Linear steps — a path or a cfa() event, two to eight, same UTC day. The visitor hash cannot cross midnight. Hobby and Starter keep a single goal. No extra script.

Is there an API?

On Starter and Growth. JSON for sites, overview, pages, sources, live. Growth adds funnels. Claude and Cursor use OAuth 2.1 on /mcp. curl mints a hashed bearer on Account. No visitor hashes. Recipe: /docs/api.

What does the free badge look like?

A visible Cookie Free Analytics link in the corner. The script injects one if the page does not already include a data-cfa mark. Hobby is free at any volume with that badge.

Is the dashboard limited on Hobby?

Yes: 90 days on the dashboard, 3 sites, owner plus one viewer, and a visible badge. First-party CNAME is included. Older rows stay — Starter unlocks them. We do not wipe Hobby history when you upgrade.

Do I need a cookie banner?

The tracker does not set cookies, use localStorage, or fingerprint. We do not store raw IPs. Same-day uniques use HMAC with a pepper and a daily salt we delete. The beacon is POST JSON; query strings are allowlisted in the browser and again on the server. Recipe on /methodology. Your counsel still owns the final call.

What actually leaves the visitor’s browser?

A POST body: site id, path with only utm_source / medium / campaign / content / term, hostname, stripped referrer, optional event name. HMAC happens on the server. SPA pageviews use pushState. Under 1 KB gzipped.

Yearly billing?

9 months billed for twelve — 3 months free. Checkout is on Plan in the app. Yearly is paid up front.

Do you offset the product?

No. 1% of each paid Usage charge goes to Stripe Climate, which funds Frontier’s carbon-removal portfolio. That is not a claim that Cookie Free Analytics is carbon-neutral. Hobby has no invoice, so no 1%.

Where is data hosted?

The EU. Beacons hit Frankfurt; pageviews sit in EU Postgres. Not a US ad graph or a Virginia warehouse with a DPA. The region is the point.

What do I get at €4 and €8?

Starter from €4 at 10k pageviews: 5 sites, owner plus 3 viewers, no badge. Growth from €8: 10 sites, owner plus 10 viewers, linear same-day funnels. Events are not billed. Lists as of 18 August 2026.

What if I need more than a million pageviews?
