vs OpenPanel

OpenPanel is product analytics. We are pageviews.

OpenPanel is an open-source Mixpanel-shaped product: events, funnels, retention, replay. People search “OpenPanel alternative” when they wanted a brochure-site counter and got a product OS. Cookie Free Analytics is the cookieless pageview tool — not a smaller OpenPanel.

What they actually are

OpenPanel sells web and product analytics together: custom events, funnels, cohorts, user profiles, session replay, self-host or cloud. Cookieless by default is a real claim. The job is still “what did this user do”, not “did /pricing load after Reject”.

When to pick them

You need funnels across signed-in flows, retention, replay, or a self-hosted Mixpanel stand-in. That is product analytics. Buy OpenPanel, PostHog, or Mixpanel. Not us.

When to pick us

You wanted pageviews, sources, campaigns, and goals on a marketing site — after Reject, without inventing a dual-run percentage. Paste our script. Leave OpenPanel inside the product if you already use it.

The honest bit

They have depth we will not ship: replay, cohorts, A/B, a self-host path. Comparing our pageview price to their event stack is a category error. We will not pretend otherwise.

Questions

Is Cookie Free Analytics an OpenPanel alternative?
No, if you use OpenPanel as product analytics. Yes only if someone installed OpenPanel for brochure pageviews and you want a 1 KB cookieless counter instead — pageviews after Reject, from €4, Frankfurt ingest.
Do you publish a dual-run lift versus OpenPanel?
No. We do not invent percentages. Run both for a week if you want your own gap. Your logs are the case study.
OpenPanel is cookieless too — why pick you?
Same privacy neighbourhood, different job. They go deep on product events and replay. We stay on pageviews, sources, campaigns, and goals. Hobby free with a badge; Starter from €4; Growth from €8. Beacons hit Frankfurt; pageviews sit in Ireland.
