vs Fathom

Fathom is the pretty one. We are the cheaper count.

Fathom is what a lot of agencies actually buy: a calm dashboard, many sites on one bill, a script that does not need a banner. Cookie Free Analytics does that job at a lower pageview price. Beacons hit Frankfurt; pageviews sit in Ireland.

What they actually are

Fathom is a commercial, closed-source, cookieless analytics product. Entry is about $15/month for 100k pageviews and 50 sites. Bigger plans include more sites. They dropped public custom tracking domains after blocker lists started targeting CNAME cloaking — a decision we respect.

When to pick them

You invoice clients, you want 50 sites on one subscription, and you like their UI enough that price is secondary. That is a real agency product.

When to pick us

You have one or a few sites, you care about the per-view invoice, you want a published formula, and you want the bytes in the EU rather than “EU isolation” as a checkbox.

The honest bit

Fathom has been at this longer, looks more finished, and the multi-site allowance is better for a studio. We will not claim we have their polish. We will claim we cost less at the same volume.

Questions

Is Cookie Free Analytics a Fathom alternative?
Yes for cookieless pageviews on your own sites. Fathom is stronger as an agency multi-site bill. We are cheaper per pageview. Beacons hit Frankfurt; pageviews sit in Ireland.
Do you offer a custom tracking domain?
Path proxy and a first-party c. CNAME are on Hobby. Fathom pulled public custom domains after lists started uncloaking them. We are honest about Brave and CNAME uncloaking too.
